It's been a couple of days now, and I haven't posted anything so I thought I should catch up. A couple of exciting things happened this week. I have been looking for a job...not because I'm ready to leave my "lil Lane", but because I need to help ease some of Blake's stress. He is working VERY HARD on a reduced salary right now, and me getting a job will definitely help.
So, I got a call the other day about a job that I apparently sent my resume to months ago. I don't even remember sending my resume to this office. It seems like an answered prayer that came out of nowhere. I had my interview this week, and I am going in next week to do a "trial" so they can see my skills, and I can see how their office works. I know they have interviewed other people, so after my trial they will decide who they think the best fit will be. It's full time (I want part time), but it seems as though this may be the job God chose for me.....because I don't even remember applying, and I got the call when I least expected it. Also, I got a call for an interview for another job that I applied to this week. I will interview next week and see how that one goes. It is a part time job that seems ideal for a mommy like me who needs time with my baby. It would be about 3 days a week so I would have 2 days a week with Lane. IF, and I do mean IF, I get both of these job offers.....it will be a tough decision. I'm leaning towards the pt job, because it will be good for Lane and me. Blake seems to like the idea of the ft job. Either way, I know I will ball my eyes out when I have to start leaving him to go to work. I will be praying hard the next few days over this....feel free to join me if you would like! : )
I spoke briefly of the next exciting thing in my first post.....Lane is cutting his first tooth!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This has been months in the making, and I am so proud of him! He's doing pretty good with it, though he does have his moments. He is becoming such a big boy. He's trying to learn to crawl, cutting teeth, trying to stand in his crib, and talking that baby talk (which sounds like da da da da da da over and over....geez I do take care of him everyday, he could atleast throw in a ma ma every now and then!). He amazes me everyday, and I'm so thankful for all the time I get to spend with him.
Another big boy thing he's doing is moving on to a bigger carseat. I've known he needs a bigger carseat for a while, but they can run over $100. In this economy, and with one person working (and on a reduced salary), that's a lot of money! I've seen some that cost b/t $150 and $200 : ( So, Blake's parents came over tonight to bring Lane some things that they often buy him: diapers and formula! Well, tonight they had yet another gift: a new carseat!! That was a total blessing, PTL!! It feels good to know he has grandparents who think of him often and do whatever they can to help. So, thanks so much pop and neesie!! Much love to you!!
